Jillian O'Malley is a freelance illustrator living in upstate New York. She received her bachelors degree in fine arts from the Boston University School for the Arts with a concentration in painting. She began her post-graduate studies at the University of Colorado at Denver and received her masters degree in science in medical illustration from the Medical College of Georgia in 1997.

Jillian O'Malley is a member of The Association of Medical Illustrators and most of the artwork on this site, except for a few pieces, was created to show a medical process or situation. The illustrations are done in both a painterly style (conceptual pieces) and a tightly rendered style (medical legal exhibits) depending on the subject matter and the purpose for the work. Many of the medical illustrations are begun traditionally, sketched by hand, and finished on the computer using graphics software programs.
